Pirates of Venus (2010)

Motion Picture Concept

At the turn of the century the popular mind set of Venus and our inner planets was a combination of science and fancy. What mysteries lay beneath the impenetrable clouds of the green planet? Exotic civilizations, murderous beasts and technology beyond human imagination all were considered possible. Set in the 1920's Pirates of Venus brings audiences to this fantastic world of adventure, peril and wonder.

After the carnage of World War 1, flying Ace Carson Napier had given up on life and the "civilized" world. At the lowest point in his life, Carson's fortune changes as he inherits the expansive estate of his lost Grandfather. Fate leads him to decide if he should risk his life and follow his Grandfather to a distant world aboard an aged craft built by the old Man. A beautiful alien princess in need of his help gives him a new purpose in life within the dense jungles of Venus.

Venus is a society of decaying science and technology in a world of brutes and beasts. The skies of Venus are plied by the large cloudships of the tyrannical Thorist regime. The forests below reach thousands of feet into the sky harboring the exiled Vepajian civilization, large arboreal predators and a lost formula giving health and unlimited life.

Many artists over the years have envisioned the world of Amtor (Venus), to these works are added our own visualization of the people, creatures and artifacts of this magnificent culture.
